A.I.R. Myoko (artist in residence)

A boutique ski chalet, restaurant and gallery, located in Myoko, Japan. In winter we enjoy absolute ski-in ski-out to one of the snowiest mountains in Japan. Our focus is on the change of seasons throughout the year. This is expressed through good cuisine, art and design.

Each year we a invite a select chef, artist and designer/craftsperson to showcase. The restaurant serves plant based cuisine (primarily vegan) with the majority of food sourced locally and seasonally. For dinner we serve a degustation set menu and for breakfast fresh sourdough, fresh juice, specialty coffee and Japanese and Western cooked options.

The restaurant

Breakfast is served daily to guests and includes fresh juice of the day, in house baked sourdough and local specialty coffee. It is all plant based and nutritionally designed for a day on the slopes.

At night our restaurant hosts an intimate dining experience inspired by traditional Kaiseki cuisine. The eight course degustation is primarily plant-based in addition to a pescatarian option and highlights local fresh produce.
