Courtney Jackson
Courtney Jackson’s work explores the possibilities of manipulating fine precious metal wire using self-developed techniques. Courtney is interested in building complex wire based structures and solid patterned forms, resulting in a collision of skeletal architectural remains and natural elements.
In this collection at A.I.R. Myoko, Courtney is inspired by the frozen, painterly landscapes of Myoko, the dramatic transformation of the seasons. The warmth of burnt golds and rich reds of Autumn shifting into an almost otherworldly wintry terrain. Courtney envisions these snow tipped petals and icy wearable blossoms as imagined new life, alien blooms sprouting out of frozen landscapes in a subtle palette of ash, bone white and pale gold.
